Men of Reform Judaism (MRJ): Reform on Campus Granting Committee Member
Participate as the only cis-female member of the group in granting resources to Hillel organizations for the building of Reform Jewish community on college and university campuses across North America.
Fun fact: I used to be one of their #1 applicants when I worked for Oregon Hillel!
Fun fact #2: I was the first HUC-JIR rabbinical student (and female) to be welcomed onto the committee!
HUC Kallah Committee: Kallah Chair (2022), Program Leader (2021), Committee Member (2020)
Each year, the HUC-JIR New York campus hosts a two-three day retreat which is meant to engage students in reflection, community, and stimulating conversation and learning. This year’s theme was Rav. A.Y. Kook’s Shir Meruba (“A Fourfold Song”).
HUC Yom Iyyun Committee: Co-Chair (2022)
Each year, the HUC-JIR New York campus holds a day-long learning symposium on a certain topic: for 2022, the topic was based on “V’Nahapoch Hu!: Topsy Turvy Day!” held on Purim Katan.
HUC Student Association: Co-President (2021-2022), Cabinet Member (2019-2021)
During my tenure on the HUC Student Association, I aimed to ensure that each student voice was heard and represented on the HUC-JIR New York campus. My co-president and I transitioned our community into a healthier hybrid-learning environment, supported our second-years as they began their “Summer in Israel” experience, and ensured that each class year was recognized and celebrated.
HUC Soup Kitchen: Leadership Committee (2019-2021)
The HUC-JIR New York Soup Kitchen is an incredible institution which feeds the hungry every week on Monday afternoons and evenings. During my time at HUC, I created fundraising opportunities, brought in and educated groups of volunteers, and made an innumerable amount of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
